The Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering degree programmes deal with the complex interactions between human activity and the environment. Civil engineers design, construct and calculate structural elements, while environmental engineers develop technologies to identify natural hazards and minimise their impact.
Human activities such as raw material utilisation, energy production, settlement construction and transport are closely linked to the environment and can pose risks to life and activity. Graduates learn to understand these interactions and develop strategies to promote ecological, economic and social sustainability.
The two interdisciplinary degree programmes offer a practical and versatile education as well as a wide range of career opportunities.
