Powerwall
The powerwall is used for two-and three-dimensional visualization of objects. The predominant field of application is the representation of computer-generated building models and simulations. For example, the simulated multi-touch-table scenarios, can be displayed on the Powerwall.
In the BIM Lab, the rear wall projection system "pro wall multi" from Deflexibel systems (http://www.deflexible.de) stands in the BIM lab. This allows 3D models and images to be viewed, for example the display of computer-generated building models and simulations which include depth information at a resolution of about 3500 x 1800 pixels with a size of 3.00 x 4.00 meters.
For this purpose, four projectors are used to project four overlapping image areas onto a special screen. The stereoscopic display is based on active shutter glasses, which alternately display a picture for each eye of the viewer, at a refresh rate of 60Hz. To interact with the virtual world, a Flystick, for example, is used.
On the software side, the Powerwall is controlled by Vioso Anyblend (http://www.vioso.com).
